Shivraj Kanungo is a successful consultant and has published extensively in research journals like System Dynamics Review, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Strategic Information Systems, International Journal of Information Management, International Journal of Information Systems, Software Process: Improvement and Practice, Information Technology and People, Computers in Human Behavior, Systems Research and Behavioral Science, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems and International Journal of Knowledge Management.

He offers executive and practitioner-oriented workshops on software cost modeling and estimation, software process improvement, the use of six-sigma approaches in process improvement, and qualitative and management decision-making.

Dr. Kanungo has published several books and research papers. His books include Making Information Technology Work (Sage Publications); Computer and Network Technologies and Applications (coauthored with with B. N. Jain from IIT-Delhi and published by Tata-McGrawHill; Information Technology at Work: A Collection of Managerial Experiences (published by Hindustan Publishing Corporation)and CMMI Implementation: Embarking on High Maturity Practices (coauthored with A. Goyal from IBM and published by Tata-McGraw Hill).

Shivraj Kanungo is an MBA from BITS, Pilani, MS from Southern Illinois University and Ph.D (Information and Decision Systems) from George Washington University.
